Our Story

How JPS came to be

Jeori Public School was established in 1995 in the village of Jeori, Tehsil Rampur, in Shimla district, Himachal Pradesh — started as a small nursery school for children in the surrounding villages who otherwise had to travel long distances for early education.

As demand grew, the school expanded a class at a time, eventually securing CBSE affiliation (Affiliation No. 630087) and building out the classrooms, staff, and facilities needed to take students through their secondary education. It is run today by the Jeori Public School Education Society.

What has not changed is the school's sense of place: a campus shaped by the mountains around it, and a community where teachers, students, and families know each other well.

Vision

To be a school the valley trusts

To provide the children of Jeori and its surrounding villages with an education that matches the best of what is available anywhere — without asking a family to leave the mountains to find it.

Mission

Build knowledge, character, and confidence together

To deliver a CBSE education through balanced classroom teaching, extracurricular activity, sports, and cultural programmes — nurturing responsibility and independent thinking so students are ready for higher education and for life beyond it.

From the Principal's Desk
"Every child who walks into Jeori Public School carries the potential to do something remarkable with their life. Our work is simply to give that potential room to grow — through discipline, through encouragement, and through an education that never loses sight of who each student is."
— Principal, Jeori Public School
